![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The action is PG-13, as it involves a lot of fist-fighting. The story is pretty heavy for a PG-13 movie, as it involves prostitution. PARENT'S GUIDE: "The Transporter Refueled" is out of most theaters, but if you are thinking about renting it on DVD, know that this is one of the more mature PG-13 movies out there. But, it is nothing more than a rent-worthy movie, since there are plenty of better options out there. I actually like this kind of action, so it was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. If you aren't really a fan of that type of action, just skip this movie, since it really doesn't have any other good elements to it. But, that is really the only quality it has, since the acting is pretty weak, for the most part, and the plot is not that spectacular. They are as over-the-top as the original movies, which is sure to please any fans of the "Fast and Furious" series. The story itself is pretty forgettable, except the action scenes are fairly exciting. Martin is reluctant to do this, but he eventually agrees, since they have taken his dad hostage. Frank Martin is hired by a group of prostitutes to take down their boss's company. The story somewhat resembles the first "Taken" movie. This isn't surprising though, since there really isn't any noteworthy actors in this except for Stevenson. ![]() Everyone else in this movie is in need of some acting classes, though. Ray Stevenson plays his dad, and is also decent. He isn't bad in this, but he is nowhere near the level that Statham was with Martin. Instead, he is replaced by Ed Skrein, who is only known for being in a few episodes of "Game of Thrones" and will be in the "Deadpool" movie next year. Unfortunately, Jason Statham, the actor who plays the main protagonist, Frank Martin, is not in this one. It really crashed and burned at the box office, which wasn't something that I expected out of a reboot that many were anticipating. I had only seen the third installment prior to seeing this one. I think of the "Transporter" series as "Fast and Furious" combined with a little "James Bond". ![]()
